Aroma Cafe: Reviews & Ratings
If you’re searching for the best Bandeja Paisa in Virginia, Aroma Café in Springfield should be at the top of your list! I was genuinely impressed by the generous portions and bold, authentic Colombian flavors. Compared to other Colombian restaurants I’ve tried, Aroma Café stands out in both quality and taste. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Whether you’re familiar with Colombian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place delivers a true taste of Colombia right here in Northern Virginia. Definitely worth a visit! #luismasterplumber #plumber #foodie #plumbersofinstagram #imaeatgood #eatswithluis
Really not sure how many stars to give this place. We had pan de bono and split a cazuela de mariscos and both were pretty good. Prices were a little high for a casual restaurant. The issue is that when I was waiting on line, I felt a weird sensation in my hand, looked down and saw an insect that flew directly into my hand, I screamed and shook my hand and it fell out. I am not certain what species it was, but it was not the invasive lantern bug which is ubiquitous. The staff didn't react at all, I dont know if they didn't see it or didn't care.
Ordered Takeout : The bandeja paisa, and asked if they could switch out the sausage for just another chicharon since I did not want to waste the sausage. They told me they couldn't. This isnt my first columbian restaurant, and usually they cater to that preference, I even stated i was willing to pay the price difference.. The cashier/waitress still refused..other than that, the food is really good.
LOW PRICES, LOTS OF CHOICES, TASTY COLUMBIAN RECIPES, & NICE ATMOSPHERE ! I stopped in to do some writing, and cannot say enough about the staff, who are helpful and nice. AND - the prices on all of their coffee drinks are about half or less than Starbucks!! And to me, tasted better.Columbian themed with authentic recipes from Columbia, staffed by sweet people from Columbia. This is a cozy place with plenty of seating (86 or more seats and great for hosting an event), very clean, and lots of choices of bakery and full meals. There must be about 200 different types of items for sale here. With plenty of free parking right in front of it. Nice Columbian music playing. Lots of families and couples come here. Very well set up for take out / ordering ahead. Aroma Cafe in Springfield, VA, a close suburb of Washington, D.C. An oasis of great coffee and food right off of the intersection of two of the busiest interstate highways in the country. Why pay double or triple at other coffee shops when you can come here, save money, and it tastes better! (plus nicer people by far than most of the big box / chain coffee shops).
If you want authentic Colombian food this is the place to be. I haven’t been able to try all their plates but the ones that I have tried so far are absolutely delicious. This place is always busy, but they always seem to serve you the food at a decent time that’s for sure. Max we wait is 20min for the bigger plates, it honestly gives a welcoming family environment. The ladies that work there are always friendly greeting with a smile. No trash cans so you leave the trash on your table and they clean so make sure to leave at least a tip. Only thing I don’t like is the location, there’s a Spanish market and a nightclub? restaurant next to it where men stand upfront so when walking in or out of Aroma the eyes are on you if you are a woman. I honestly recommend just trying everything on the menu, but most importantly the Pandeja Paisa, their drinks salpicon (fruit drink) and guanavana smoothie.
Talk about authenticity! Fresh food prepared as you wait. Felt like I walked into South America. Spanish music playing. Warm ambience of colors. Awesome bakery setup. Had to use google translate to make a custom order Place is very unique with friendly people all around.
I like this bakery because the breads are very tasty and they are homemade and everything is fresh. I enjoy a lot of all their breads and cakes. They are a delicatessen. For my palate and the place is very clean and the cashiers are always very kind and charming.
Services was fast! Came on a Sunday around 1pm! Food was delicious I will be coming back again!
